Why I joined the Fineline Co-op

I joined the Co-Op shortly after one of my art classes wrapped up, and I looked around the room at the other five artists and realized I would really, really miss our conversations during the break, not just about our art-making, but also about our differing experiences as emerging artists. When to pay for a studio, best local places for making Riso prints, grant-writing, who to show early work to for critiques, how to price prints - the list of business and life questions seemed so much easier to tackle within a community. And I also thought: hey, I have a lot of professional skills from being a business coach and digital product strategist (from various jobs). I had both something I needed from a community, and I had something I could offer to a community. Voila! Here I am at the Fineline Co-Op!
