About the event

Are you trapped in a constant state of radical acceptance that you must use social media to market yourself as an art entrepreneur, but also hate having to navigate trends, the algorithm, or how fake socials can seem? Maybe you’ve figured out exactly how to make social media work for you, or you have an idea of a social media calendar but you’re not sure if you’re on the right track. Join us for a virtual peer-to-peer session all about navigating social media as an artist and art entrepreneur with Sarah Alina Ziazi, a Toronto based Artist and digital creator with over a 2k following, and Tom Masterson, an artist manager and musician, with a marketing background. We'll be sharing tips and tricks, as well as advice from an industry perspective.

Facilitating the session will be Fineline Co-op's very own Chair, Cerise (CJ), who has grown their  personal and professional brand and presence from the ground up. As an art entrepreneur, she has a love-hate relationship with social media and marketing,  but is ready to learn more and share the knowledge! CJ will lead us through a casual, inter-view like session with Sarah, picking her brain on how she's been able to grow such a following, and manage a healthy relationship with social media.

About CJ of Bao Press

CJ is a proudly queer Asian-Canadian on a mission to make the world a little brighter with every piece she creates. They have a deep love for food, hamsters, and the colour yellow. Much of CJ's work is a love letter to the beauty and joy that comes from the messy process of growth and healing.

Bao Press had their debut in May of 2023 with RAW: Toronto's CONCEPT show, and is a graduate of Fineline's first Business Accellorator Program cohort.
